When you select an MBA program, you are not just choosing your learning environment, but are also making a commitment to a community. Each Thursday, we offer a window into life “beyond the MBA classroom” at a top business school.
When you think “Winter Formal” at Ross, think “prom.” Hosted off campus at a different hotel each year and attended by approximately two-thirds of the student body (first- and second-year students alike), this is the Ross Students Association’s big winter party. Dressed in tuxedoes and gowns, students temporarily put aside their case work, forget about interviews and party in style. The 2012 Winter Formal, which took place in January, was held in the historic Fillmore Theatre of Detroit, a building originally opened in 1925 as a movie house.
