Musical chairs anyone? Chicago Booth takes a dean from Darden, and then Yale takes that very dean from Chicago Booth. Kellogg announces that it has found its new dean at NYU Stern (undergrad), and INSEAD then plucks outgoing dean Dipak Jain from Kellogg. Jain, a well-respected academic and administrator, should bring some cache to INSEAD. According to Franz Humer, chairman of the INSEAD board, Jain was chosen to lead INSEAD into a “new global economic climate,” wherein the school needs to teach traditional business skills while also being “innovative, entrepreneurial and instilling a culture of true sustainability.” The music is back on—let’s see where it stops next…
