MBA News: HBS Releases Application Volume Data for 2009-10 Season

Yesterday, HBS Director of Admissions Dee Leopold’s informed her blog readers that during the 2009-10 season, HBS received the second-highest volume of applications in its history: over 9500 (not including applications for the 2+2 program).  This past season was topped only by the 10,382 applications HBS received for its Class of 2004 (2001-02 application season).

During this application season (2009-2010), mbaMission learned that several top MBA programs saw double digits drops in application volume in R1. Before the season even began, we predicted a small decrease in application volume and will thus be carefully watching as others release their data. One school does not a trend make!
