Columbia Business School (CBS) student Michael Melmed recently sent us a YouTube video he made in his “Social Media Marketing” class that communicates all the reasons CBS students love the school so much and what makes it unique. He posed the question “Please help me… Why Columbia Business School!?!? #WhyCBS” on Twitter and received an overwhelming response from his classmates. He was inspired by the new question on the CBS application asking candidates to share, in 200 characters or less, their post-MBA professional goals. Melmed says he created this video to “help potential applicants in any way possible,” so he has opened up the comments section on the video to allow current students to actively answer questions from prospective students. With almost 4,500 views and 54 comments at the time of this posting, Melmed’s video appears to not only be helping CBS applicants, but also reminding the school’s current and former students what made them choose CBS themselves.
