In an article entitled “An MBA with Savoir Faire,” the Wall Street Journal extols the virtues of the European MBA, identifying the following advantages:
- Shorter programs of 10-16 months mean that students have lower tuition and living expenses
- Students gain access to a more profound international network
- European programs are less dependent on the financial firms for hiring and thus have greater diversity at a time when it is needed
The WSJ notes that European MBA programs are seeing an increasing number of American applicants. It will be interesting to see whether this is a temporary trend that coincides with the faltering economy or whether this represents a permanent change. We predict the latter; time will tell…
