Yesterday, Integrated Learning posted a 700 level GMAT question on our blog. Today, they have followed up with the answer:
Correct answer: D
With the information in Statement (1), we have:
It would take Harry 10 hours to complete the job alone. The information is sufficient to answer the question. With the information in Statement (2), we determine that Judy plants 15 flowers per hour. This means that she would have planted 60 flowers in 4 hours and Harry would have planted 20. If Harry needed 4 hours to plant 20 flowers, he would need 16 hours to plant 80. Therefore, the information is sufficient to answer the question.
Either statement alone is sufficient to answer the question. The answers do not have to be the same.
