How I Can Help You
If you were to go skiing for the first time, would you do so without an instructor? Perhaps, but you would most likely stick to the “easy greens,” rather than pushing yourself. But what if you had someone to guide you, instilling confidence in your decisions, making sure you were aware of what was ahead, teaching you the best approach to the tricky trails, and ensuring that you did not go over the edge into out-of-bounds territory?
Through my partnership approach, I can help you elevate your MBA application and successfully navigate the process and requirements, so you feel fully confident in submitting even the toughest, “double-black, expert only” school application. I especially enjoy working with clients with unique backgrounds and those considering a career change, when sharing the “whys” behind your motivation to attend business school becomes even more critical. Painting a clear, compelling picture of your unique story can be a game changer. Let me help you traverse an arduous, often overwhelming process.
Your application and success are incredibly important to me, which is evident in my client testimonials. My thoughtfulness, thoroughness, and storytelling experience, combined with an efficient, organized approach, will undoubtedly deliver an incredibly positive experience for you!
Why Choose Me
More than 18 years of experience building brands and developing their underlying strategy have provided me with ample opportunity to hone my positioning and storytelling skills. Through mbaMission, I now have the honor of using this experience to help MBA applicants craft their personal brand along with a supporting narrative in pursuit of their dreams.
I earned my MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with a focus on marketing and strategy. I greatly enjoyed the highly collaborative and student-run nature of Northwestern Kellogg, where I was vice-president of marketing for the Business Leadership Club and served on its Executive Steering Committee.
Northwestern Kellogg’s program enabled me to make a career switch from investment banking to brand management. I began my post-MBA career at Procter & Gamble and Mars Wrigley, where I was deeply involved in MBA internship programs. I then moved from the consumer packaged goods industry to sporting goods and apparel, following a personal passion. Roles at Mizuno and Descente gave me the opportunity to work closely with my Asian colleagues and develop a strong appreciation for their cultures, tapping into my desire to understand people, their motivations, and their aspirations.
I graduated from Duke University with a BA in economics and a minor in French, magna cum laude and as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. I was voted captain of the varsity cross-country and track teams and greatly enjoy working with athletes of all levels.
For me, there really is no better feeling than helping people realize their dreams. Business school was an incredible and transformative experience, fueling my desire to serve others as they work to manifest their life vision and showcase their unique, authentic selves.
Kim was absolutely amazing and helped elevate my application at every stage of the journey!
